North Korean Missile's Target

Where is the North Korean missile heading to?

Raising fear of American citizens

Why North Korea suddenly announced to launch a satellite?

If North Korea actually intends to launch a satellite, they can show a clear evidence of the satellite but they're not.

Back in Aug. 31. 1998, North Korea launched 'Daepodong 1' which is a missle, and announced they have launched 'Gwangmyeongsung1'

Also back in Jul. 5. 2006, They launched 'Daepodong 2' missile and argued that military training was their rightful action.

[North Korean missile range]

Reality is that it's nothing but to keep their control over starving North Korean citizens.

It is outrageous how North Korea is dunting other countries by saying it was not a missle but a satellite.
Perhaps the reason behind their missile development is, ironically North Korean citizens suffuring from starvation.

[Starving North Korean citizens]

When South Korea and United States took tough stance against the North, they implicitly imply that their inter-continental missile can reach the U.S. mainland. This is to raise fear among the U.S. citizens and to show off their ability to launch a long range missile. Reality is that it's nothing but to keep their control over starving North Korean citizens.

North Korea's Fire Range

How far will the North Korean missile reach?

'Daepodong 2' can reach the mainland U.S. (Alaska)

While North Korean citizens are starving, they balanced budget to develop missiles.
Allegedly, 'Daepodong2' can fly over 6,000km, including Alaska within the range.

[North Korean missile and its range]

The missile they have launched before failed and ended up drowning in the East Sea but seems like they have upgraded the missile.

'Daepodong2' can turn into a nuclear-tipped missile in no time

A missile functions as carrier of a warhead.
If a nuclear weapon is tipped on the missile, it becomes a nuclear missile.
It's not surprising why Japan and U.S. is anxious about the North Korea's 'Daepodong2.'

[North Korean missile threats neighboring countries]

U.S. have asked North Korea to stop the 'Daepodong2' missile launch.
North Korea responded that "We won't launch any missiles, we will launch a scientific research satellite"

  What a non-sense!

Daepodong 2 missile can used as both inter-continental missile and satellite missile. North Korea might think that we are all just stupid after all.

[Jung-il Kim uses missile as a diplomatic tool]

To make matters more serious, North Korean committee of unification dennounced that U.N. resolution 1718 is nothing but U.S and it's allies manipulated trash.

Robert Gates U.S. Secretary of Defense once said "If North Korea continues it's Daepodong2 research aiming U.S. mainland, U.S will prepare to launch a interceptor

[North Korea launching a missile]

North Korea won't be able to launch 'Daepodong2' so they had to go to Plan B.
They came up with the research satellite launch.

North Korea is playing off South Korean government by saying that "South Korea is saying even a rocket is against U.N. resolution" OF COURSE IT IS!!! What's the difference between a missile and a rocket? It's not even funny.

North Korean Citizens

North Korean citizens, starving to death

North Korea, the country with the worst human rights

Are you not curious about how the people in North Korea live?
I have never visited North Korea myself, however, if you look up videos and read some data posted on the internet, it is really predictable.

To begin with, North Korea is one of the top countries where one has the least human rights.
Mostly everything is controlled by the North Korean government, just like a dictatorship.
The government has total control over the media and education and most North Koreans are brainwashed by the government, not knowing what is happening outside their country.

40grams of corn per head

As a communist country, everything produced by the people is collected by the government. The problem is that the government is extremely unfair. Especially, the goverment collects every grain of agricultural products produced by the people and distribute 40grams of corn for each meal. The rest is used to feed the higher ups.

[North Korea's daily meal]

North Korea's military service is obligatory. Children from age 15 are forced to enlist in the North Korean army and serve for 10years. However, the North Korean government is not able to provide enough food for all the active soldiers. Therefore, the soldiers steal from the civilians the little bit of corn they have been distributed. That is the reason why you can frequently see children of North Korea really skinny, only with bones left.

[Children of North Korea]

[North Korean people. They seem to have given up their life]

Crazy amount of money invested in developing nuclear armaments and weapons

As they do not decent housing you can frequently see children lying around anywhere.

Even though the North Korean government is aware of the situation, the government simply ignores its people and pour a vast amount of money in the development of missiles and nuclear armaments.

There might be people who suggest that North Korea is not that bad because they have personally visited North Korea. It is because he/she has been deceived. Which country in Earth would let tourists visit these places? Isn't it obvious that a country would prefer to show statues and gallant buildings or monuments rather than children starving to death?

There are many people who are not aware of the reality of North Korea. Indeed there are fabulous looking monuments and building, fantastic videos about North Korea on the internet. However, you must remember that this only correspond to higher ups in North Korea. You must never forget that that civilians like us are suffering and starving to death due to the North Korean goverment's tyranny.

North Korea's Threatening

North Korea's endless threats

Post-Korean War, Numerous North Korean threats

North Korea asserts that all hostile actions were initiated by South Korea.
North Korea's such assertion continued numerously since the Korean War.
Everytime they make hostile military move, they covered up with lies.
Let me introduce few examples of North Korea's hostile action against South Korea.

First, 'Uljin, Samchuk armed guerrillas attack'

This event took place at Uljin, Samchuk South Korea from 1968. Oct. 30. till November 2nd.
120 guerrillas disguised as civilians came across the border 3times in groups of 15.
Those guerrillas gathered South Korean civilians and threated them to join the communist party.

They stabbed those who refused to join and killed those who attempt to runaway from the scene.
Guerrillas also threated civilians not to call police or military. But some of brave civilians risked their life so that South Korean force could successfully terminate those guerrillas.

According to Shin Jo Kim, a captured guerrilla from 1/21 incident, their goal was 1) to bomb President's chamber and assassinate the President.
2) To bomb U.S. embassy and kill U.S diplomats 3) To bomb Army Command and to kill officiers 4) To bomb Seoul prison.
5) To bomb North Korean spy concentration camp and bringing them back to North Korea.

[South Korean military force surrounding dead North Korean guerrillas]

  What is 1/21 incident?

In 1968, Jan, 21st, 31 North Korean special force came across the border to assassinate South Korea's President . They successfully entered the nation's capital, fully armed. but their suspicious action was questioned by a patrol unit. They killed the patrol unit and fired against bus and civilians randomly.

South Korean military force immediately issued alert and killed 28 captured 1. From this incident, Cheif police officier from Jong-ro station passed away. Shin-Jo Kim has become a South Korean missionary and has written books on how he found inner peace in Christianity.

Next is the armed submarine infiltration in Gangneung

This occured on the 18th of September, 1996. North Korea's special forces penetrated in South Korea's territory in order to create confusion, under Kim Jong Il's orders. Nevertheless, their submarine got stranded, they abandoned the submarine, came to land and killed 50 civilians.

[the stranded submarine] [the funeral of the soldiers who fell in this battle]

Finally, the most recent provocation is the second Yeonpyeong sea battle

This occured before the last day of the World Cup in 2002. On the 29th of June, 2002, a North Korean war vessel crossed the boundaries and initiated a preemptive surprise attack towards South Korean ships. This was a clear infringement of the cease-fire and the South demanded an apology and a pledge that promised such provocation will not happen again, which was completely ignored.

[The battle of Yeonpyeong]

There are still lots of examples of provocations which have not been mentioned.
These are the main cases.

You must remember that this kind of provocation has an objective.
It is to take a favorable position when it comes to diplomacy by showing off its military power.

Also, you must not forget that the North Korean government is pouring an unimaginable amount of money on its military, while completely ignoring the North Korean people who are starving to death.

The Korean War

The War which almost completely destroyed South Korea

South Korea, nearly wiped out by North Korea's surprise attack

Are you interested in Korea's history?
If so, how much do you know about the Korean War?
Did you know that Stallin and Kim Il Seung plotted and executed a surprise attack against South Korea which nearly erased it from the Earth?

The Korean War began in the 25th of June 1950, about 4o'clock in the morning.
However Kim Il Seung had already carefully planned the Korean War since 1949.
He frequently visited Mo Tek Dong(China) and Stallin(Soviet Union) in order to get their backup, which he managed to get.
When North Korea executed the surprise attack against the South the North was already equipped with tanks and weapons from the Soviet Union, while the South did not possess a single tank.
The North charged against the defenseless South with fighters, 242 tanks and mortars.
It was an impossible battle for the South.
The South was utterly crushed and was quickly pushed back.

[The Soviet Union's Yak-9 fighters and T34/85 tanks which North Korea used. The South only had rifles]

General Douglas MacArthur's combined amphibious landing at Incheon

Seoul was captured after 3days and in abouth a month the South was pushed back until its final defence line, the Nak-Dong river.
However, General Douglas MacArthur successfully accomplished the combined amphibious landing at Incheon, deep behind the North Korean lines, which was considered as an impossible mission.
Seoul was recaptured and the South slowly advanced towards the North.

With the help of the United States and the UN, it seemed as though unification was possible.
However, Kim Il Seung asked for help to Mo Tek Dong(China).
Unfortunately for the South, the Chinese War had just finished and China had lots of veteran soldiers ready for war.
China move attacked by using "human wave tactics" and "guerrilla warfare."
Both sides were pushing and being pushed near the "38th parallel line" until the a truce was signed in the 27th July, 1953.

The Korean War was devastating for the South.
Casualties were over a million, which 85% were civilians.

[Thousands of civilians killed by the Korean War]

Most facilities in the South were destroyed.
The economy crumbled and there were very few ways to raise back up the economy.
Nobody wanted to invest in a country were there was nothing to gain from.
However, the South overcame all those difficulties and developed into a technology, economy giant.

The North, having forgotten the sorrow from the Korean War, is causing tension in the Korean peninsula.

[A North Korean officer announcing preparations for war are done]

The necessity of the ability to drive North Korea back

  North Korea is unpredictable.
I am guessing that North Korea is currently having great difficulties economically due to its mistaken policy.
It is also having problems concerning power, as there seems to be a change of regime.
It seems as though the North is trying to solve both problems by causing a ruckus.
However, another Korean War must not be tolerated.
Another tragedy as such in the 21st century must not be consented.
The international society must pressure harder on the North so that it will abandon all of its hidden programs and finally open up for an honest, multi-lateral talks.

North Korea?

North Korea?

Examining North Korea based on facts on the Internet

North Korea, officially known as the Democratic People's Republic of Korea(DPRK) and called Chosŏn, is a state in Asia, occupying the northern half of the Korean Peninsula. It is a communist country and Its capatal city is Pyongyang. The state's ideology is Juche ideology of self-reliance and military precendence.

[Norht Korean flag]

The ringleader of Korean War on 1950.06.25

Following the World War Ⅱ, the peninsula was divided into two parts: Soviet Union occupying the North and U.S. occupying the South based on the border set at 38th parallel on 1945.08.15. After the division, the North established Worker's Party of North Chosun which was a coliation of two parties, Worker's Party and New People's Party, and the South established Worker's Party of South Chosun, a coaliation of Worker's Party, New People's Party, and People's Party. The North found 'North 5th parallel administrative commission' in September 1945. In February 1946, a temporary North Chosun Council of People´s Commissars was constituted. Under its presense, it nationalized all the lands without any recompense to landowners and carried out progressive land reform that distributes the right of cultivation among farmers. Afterwards, the North established the Council of People's Commissars and Korean People's army was created. In August 1948, with the supreme people's assembly, the delegate's election was undergone and on the 9th of September Kim Il Song became president.

In the 25th June, 1950 the North Korea attacked the South and the Korean war began. U.S and its allied countries sent troops in order to aid South Korea. However, China also sent its troops to aid the North and the Korean War ended as an international tragedy. The Korean War ended with a cease-fire in 1953 and with the DMZ as its frontier, tensions have always existed between the two Koreas.

[North Korea's geographical position]

Economy 147th, military power 4th

North Korea's GDP is $1,900(147th place). However, it has the 4th largest military on Earth.
The military service is obligatory and in 2008 it was estimated that about 1million 190 thousand soldiers were active. 1million 20thousand soldiers in the army, 60 thousand soldiers in the navy and 110 thousand soldiers are estimated to be in the aerial force, 4th in the world in numbers. Nevertheless, it is estimated that due to their old weaponry, their fire power is not as impressive as its numbers.

[A comparison between a Scud-B missile and Taepodong-2]

North Korea has Rodong-1, Taepodong-1 and Taepodong-2 as middle, long range ballistic missiles. It is believed that Alaska is within Taepodong-2's fire range. As North Korea is short on food, it makes its soldier farm lands and breed animals for food.

A hereditary dictatorship

After Kim Il Song got hold of North Korea, he passed on that power to his son Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Il is governing North Korea until nowadays. However, Kim Jong Il seems to have serious health problems and there are many presumptions that Kim Jong Il will pass on the power to one of his 3 sons. If Kim Jong Il passes his power to one of his sons, North Korea will be the first country in the 20th century of a hereditary government and it will become a laughter in the international community.

[Kim Il Song(left) and Kim Jong Il(right)]

[Kim Jong Nam, Kim Jong Chol, Kim Jong Un]

A hooligan threatening the international community

To summarize, even though North Korea's GDP is one of the lowest its army size the in top 5 in the world. Its economy is so bad that even soldiers are used for farming and breeding animals. It is a country threatens the international society by developing missiles and nucelar weapons for food, in other words, an unprecedented country in history.
